1. Controller
Responsible for data processing on this website: Christina Schneider, Schaitdorf 5, 93339 Riedenburg, Germany. Contact: christina@elaixir.com.
2. What we collect, and why
- Booking funnel answers: when you book a call, we ask about your familiarity with us, your LinkedIn profile, revenue range, niche and investment readiness. We use these solely to prepare for and conduct the consultation.
- Scheduling data: appointments are booked through Calendly; your name, email and chosen time are processed by Calendly LLC under their own privacy policy.
- Form submissions: funnel answers are stored by our hosting provider's form service (see section 5).
- Local storage: the site stores a small flag in your browser's local storage to remember that you have seen the intro animation. It contains no personal data and is never transmitted to us.
- Server logs: our hosting provider processes technical data (IP address, browser type, timestamps) to deliver the site securely.
3. Legal bases (Art. 6 GDPR)
We process booking and funnel data to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract, Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. Server logs and security-related processing rest on our legitimate interest in operating this website securely, Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The local storage flag is technically required for the function you triggered and stores no personal data.
4. What we don't do
We use no advertising trackers and no third-party analytics, and we do not sell personal data. Fonts and all other assets are served from our own hosting; loading this site triggers no requests to advertising or analytics networks.
5. Processors, recipients and third-country transfers
- Netlify, Inc. (San Francisco, USA): website hosting and form capture, under their privacy policy
- Calendly LLC (Atlanta, USA): appointment scheduling
Both providers process data in the United States. Transfers are safeguarded by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 GDPR).
6. Retention
Booking and consultation data is kept for as long as needed to handle your inquiry and any resulting engagement, and no longer than twelve months after our last contact, unless a longer period is required by law (for example statutory retention duties for business correspondence).
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and to object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21). To exercise any of these rights, email christina@elaixir.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany, www.lda.bayern.de.
8. Changes
We may update this policy; the current version is always published on this page.
